Land sourcing

A methodical search at the crossroads of energy, telecoms and urban planning

Designing the electrical connection requires a detailed study of nearby energy infrastructure. The electrical connection is a highly regulated process requiring study time that must be anticipated in a project’s schedule.

Pursuant to article 13 of the concession specifications of the Public Electricity Transmission Network, RTE draws up the procedures for processing connection requests to the public network from users and public distribution networks. The connection procedure is subject to consultation with many stakeholders and benefits from approval by the Energy Regulatory Commission.

The technical requirements for the design and operation of installations for their connection to the public network are defined in the European regulations establishing network codes on the requirements applicable to the connection of generating installations, distribution networks and consumption installations. Where no regulatory text applies, the technical requirements are defined in the reference technical documentation published by RTE.

Our teams have a detailed knowledge of these technical and regulatory constraints in order to best adapt our projects and prioritise frugal investment, both for the data center owner and for the public transmission network operator.
